Chuck returned to his Alma Mater for an invited appearance as part of UNT’s celebrated Jazz Lecture Series. While there, had an opportunity to speak with Rich DeRosa’s graduate jazz comp students and rehearse with the famed 1:00 Lab Band!

One of Denmark’s finest professional jazz ensembles, the Aarhus (formerly Kluvers) Jazz Orchestra, led by Artistic Director, Lars Moeller, has engaged Chuck as guest conductor, composer/arranger in a Feb. 2015 program that also features the ensemble’s incredibly talented tenor saxophonist /composer, Michael Bladt. Chuck is currently crafting several new arrangements of Michael’s inventive and engaging compositions that will be premiered alongside some of Chuck’s original big band works during this concert series.
NY premier of “River Runs” at Manhattan School of Music
The Manhattan School of Music Jazz Philharmonic under the direction of Justin DiCioccio will perform the River Runs concerto in its entirety! Featured guest soloists are: Donny McCaslin (Sx), Jack Wilkins (Gtr), and Sarah Caswell (Vln)!!
USF Outstanding Research Achievement Award
Chuck was honored with USF’s “Outstanding Faculty Research Achievement Award” in a luncheon on Oct. 27th.
